So today, I'm going to try to keep up more with this blog. This year I set a personal goal for myself to do 300 paintings this year. I'm already behind, but I know I can make a comeback. But I'm torn. I had intended to do all original painting with oil, gouache and watercolor. But I'm feeling the pull to do digital because I can then have more tools at my disposal. I'll make a decision by the end of today. Meanwhile, here's a recap of all the paintings I've done this year so far.

As I develop and grow as a painter, I look back at previous subjects I've painted and give it another go. It felt good to be more confident tackling water with a better understanding of water and light.

Here's another painting that was gifted to a loved one for Christmas.
I am debating if should try to repaint this in oils.
