A study of light.

I've been ready a really good book on painting. Those of you who read
this blog and are artists, might know it. "Alla Prima, Everything I
Know About Painting" by Richard Schmid. It's out of print, but still
attainable... for a price. My friend Noah was nice enough to let me
borrow it. I have to say it's the best written book about painting
I've come across, ever. The painting you see is an orange slice. I
had the light behind it and was trying to capture the glow from with
in the orange. Needless to say, I failed miserably. But I'm going to
try at it again. I think painting from a dark surface is what got me
me hung up.
